ESHP in Double Boost!

Edgerley Simpson Howe & Partners (ESHP) has made two high profile appointments as it seeks to strengthen its position as a leading adviser in the UK retail warehouse market.

Duncan Good, formerly a partner at Strutt & Parker, is to join ESHP as a partner in the investment team, while Jason Holden has been appointed an associate in the agency department.

Good was involved in one of last year’s biggest investment deals, the £430 million Hammerson purchase of LxB, and the acquisition of Forge Retail Park by Rock Investments for £113.5 million. While Holden is joining from Chase & Partners where he spent nine years in agency, development and asset management handling clients such as Pets at Home, Halfords, Focus DIY and Brantano.

Nick Howe, managing partner of ESHP, comments: “The double appointment will give us significant firepower as we seek to take advantage of our position in the UK out of town market.

“Meanwhile we envisage that the current challenges for investors and occupiers will provide countless opportunities for our dedicated sector specialist teams.”

ESHP’s clients include Scottish Widows, Morley, Standard Life Investments LxB, Hammerson and CBRE Investors. Recent deals include Cheval Properties’ acquisition of the Vue cinema portfolio, SWIP’s acquisition of Morley’s retail warehouse portfolio and Standard Life’s purchase of Gallions Reach in Beckton.
